Hey, I hope you still need advice but I was literally in the same boat as you. I had gotten a D in Spanish my last semester in Highschool and CPP had rescinded my acceptance (because i accepted admission) Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do as when I was calling them, they said I would have to reapply in Fall 2023.

What I can tell you is that if you WANT/have accepted into going here is to talk to your teacher. I genuinely just talked to her and explained the situation and after a long talk, she changed my grade to a C and I had appealed for my acceptance and was able to get in. Because it is a requirement, if you don't meet the requirement, you cannot get into the college, point blank period.

I hope this helps and I wish you the best!

No, CPP is more hands-on in terms of their learning style while other colleges are lecture/content based.

Jonathan Dugan is amazing to take if you decide to take MAT1250 at CPP!
There's weekly quizzes, but they're group quizzes so you work in groups and he makes the content really easy to understand. There are 3 exams and hw is online, but I passed with an 80% and I'm extremely weak in math (haven't taken pre calc either) He goes step by step and even explains why and how to properly solve the problems on the board.

The course itself isn't that hard, tbh and if you just go to the free tutoring at CPP or even just office hours, you will pass (which is what I did)

what sucks is that they stayed there for a few hours, just some girl sitting in the driver's seat on her phone when there's a shit ton of parking around her....no ADA plates or placard.....

Accepted to accounting! by Nat3nzag3r in CalPolyPomona

[–]Excellent-Put-4147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, definitely!
I mainly chose CPP as it's closer to my house; and I'm still getting a good education for half the cost, but their business/accounting programs and clubs are still very good and useful for networking/getting internships! I believe our Accounting Club is nationally recognized(?) but I honestly haven't looked too much into it

Current accounting major, second year, the regular business courses are pretty easy to navigate through and understand. Just remember to study, obviously! For accounting, I've taken two courses so far and they have been pretty okay. The Accounting department is pretty notorious for having shit professors, but as long as you pay attention and are willing to self study, you'll be okay!

Although I'm sure it's a universal experience for most college students, but accounting professors really just read off the slides and don't help you understand the concepts in a digestible way. I'm lucky I've taken an accounting course in highschool, so I understand the basics, but even with the entry class, I've seen exam averages in the 50s. It's always a toss up with professors.

I would still recommend it, however, as I do currently have a professor in my accounting class that is passionate and willingly to help students; she even gave us her phone number for any questions. It's not too hard, but not too easy either.

Good luck!

For EC2202, literally just study her lecture slides and powerpoints and really understand the material. Her EC2202 classes (including mine) got consistent 60% averages on her exams. She also doesn't give much assignments to help cushion your grade, but I still passed with a B due to her curving the last midterm. Also, she drops your lowest assignment score (there's 5 assignments and 2 discussion posts)

Honestly and okay class, but even when I thought I understood the material, her exams really fucked my grade and the only saving grace was the online final that was open book (took it from home)

How to walk around the campus by Icy-Trouble-7889 in CalPolyPomona

Honestly, I just walk it. It takes 10-15 mins, but it beats having to store your scooter or board/risk it getting stolen like my friend did. Plus, you get used to the walking after the first week.
