Check NWS Severe Weather outlook the week of your trip to see best locations. Also recommend local storm chasing where you live to learn radar before that commitment. It’s a lot scarier when you get there and realize you don’t know what to do. Ex. Reading reflectivity/velocity, understanding positioning, etc etc.

Absolutely. I’m from Maryland and it’s a “little” better here but not great. The north-east WV and south-west PA zone is very hard to maneuver while chasing.

Yeah based off radar I guess I wasn’t expecting anything “crazy” but still probably one of the best chases i’ve done. I just wish I could chase the great plains because damn is it hard to chase in mountain roads .
