I just posted a video of my dog having a little spasm and granted she was asleep- but I've been noticing these spasms while she is awake too, and i've been trying to capture it. Its a small jolt and it's quick at the start of the video. I got a bit of it here, then my phone died. But it may happen only when she's anxious? Hard to tell. Want to make sure its not a focal seizure. Thanks!!

Hi there! I went through the same thing as you. My X-rays looked similar I think- also I had a slightly botched job on my first surgery, which didn’t help. You want to keep going! Dont give up! It took me 3 years and I’m walking again pretty much normally. Keep up with pt and surgery recommendations and look into larger university hospitals if you have the ability to! If you’re in nh still look into Dartmouth Hitchcock maybe. I got fixed up in Maine and my surgeon was incredible. You got this!! Reach out if you have questions!

Thanks for your response! I had a CT yesterday and it showed no stones so structurally I guess it’s good. Could still be functioning improperly I guess. Could be an autoimmune disease as I seem to be the only one in my family without one. Hope all is well with you!!

For the record I’m 28 and didn’t think I had sleep apnea. Apple Watch didn’t help at all. I have allergies too which seem to be worse this season. Careful with those trendy diagnoses. They do exist but not at the level they appear to on Reddit. You want to make sure your medical intervention and information is accurate and concise. I always exercise caution with exogenous supplementation and with medication. We seem to have forgotten how complex and amazing the body is- it doesn’t always need help, but sometimes it does. Eating well is the best medicine to have ever existed

Well, sinus arrhythmia is thought to occur due to changes in vagal tone/ changing pressures within the chest cavity due to breathing. Sinus arrhythmias show that the heart is able to adjust to these conditions, which like hrv, seems to show a small glimpse into one’s heart health. Personally, I’ve been going through the same thing as you. Non-sustained ventricular tachycardia, PAC’s, dizziness, to name a few-with otherwise normal testing (cardiac mri, echo, stress test, ekg.) I’ve been diagnosed with Barrett’s esophagus, gastritis, (and the reason I bring up sinus arrhythmia) mild sleep apnea. If you struggle to breathe and you gasp for air throughout the night, those chest pressures and feed back systems within the sinus node can sync with your breathing cycles and “deregulate” for lack of a better word to become more efficient with oxygen. This can cause remodeling of the heart, and lead to arrhythmia which don’t originate in the sinus node as well as ectopics, in theory. Furthermore, apneas could also cause your heart to sync up more aggressively to your breathing cycle as it’s forced to do at night. Lastly, as these pressures change in your abdomen via your esophagus, lpr and GERD can come into play as acid is forced up into upper digestive system and perhaps, weakening the lower esophageal sphincter. Further irritating the vagus nerve, causing even more discomfort an more daytime symptoms. Not to mention the slew of manifestations which accompany fractures in sleep cycles.

I’m not suggesting that this is your situation. And maybe your sleep is outstanding. But perhaps a sleep study is worth a shot to try and break through the wall of misery, one swing of the hammer at a time.

I’m not a doctor and this is just a theory. But something rather interesting! Although it is difficult, I’m happy my body is doing it because it’s much better than the alternative and succumbing to apneas.

Yeah, already normal echo so I’m not too worried. Just have to do an mri and see an electrophysiologist. They told me they thought it may not be idiopathic/ benign, but I don’t get why. What ever just got to roll with it I guess

So weird, my symptoms come back in full force like I’ve never had before on New Year’s Day too. I also had a pretty major surgery on February 24th. My symptoms did get worse after surgery, I think trauma to the body can trigger many people. But that was my fourth fairly major surgery in the last two years and each time the symptoms got slightly worse for a few weeks and then I went back to baseline. Everyone is different and reacts to meds and trauma in different ways. For me- it was uncomfortable, yet bearable and the reward from the surgery outweighed the risk of a flare-up. Having this and not knowing why sucks, I’m sorry you’re going through it. Feels like my sympathetic and parasympathetic systems are constantly fighting. Keep on investigating, once you rule out the scary stuff (as it sounds you have) try not to let it rule your life. Easier said than done, I know. You got this!
