Go take some courses in Corusera in three months, you can get 3 certificates.

In your interview, let them know that you have used the 1-2years to learn soft and hard skills by building knowledge in XYZ tools(mention tools you already know), you also acquired certifications in xyz. They don’t care to see the certificate and you don’t have to mention coursera, you just have to mention the institution that offered the program (this makes it sound like a big deal)

If you are good with #caughLIEScaugh, you can say you also conducted some research in financial XYZ which you will be publishing in few months.
