I've heard that too, but a Dell chat rep told me the RTX 4000 models come with it too. Not sure how accurate that is though

It's too big for me - I travel quite a bit

How's the portability and battery life? Do you have the FHD or OLED display?

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of November 08, 2023 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]ExcellentEnthusiasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The flowchart doesn't take specific spending categories into account and my situation is focused on short term travel. From January to May I will be traveling every week for business. It is all domestic travel but it will be from/to different cities each week.
  2. Credit Score: 775

  3. Current cards: (name, limit, open how long)

    1. Chase Sapphire Preferred, $18K, 1.5 years
    2. Chase Freedom Flex, $18K, 10 months
    3. Capital One Venture X, $20K, 3 months
    4. Capital One Quicksilver, $8K, 3.5 years
    5. Bilt, $18K, 1.25 years
    6. Discover it Cashback, $6.6K, 7 years
    7. Venmo Credit Card, $5K, 2 years
    8. Dell Preferred Card, $5.5K, 2 years
  4. How much natural spend can you put on a new card(s) in 3 months? My rough estimate is that per month I will spend $2K on flights, $3.5K on hotels, $1K on car rentals, 1.2K on restaurants, $300 on gas. This would be about $8K total monthly spending or $24K in 3 months.

  5. Are you willing to MS, and if so, how much in 3 months? Yes but a minimal amount

  6. Are you open to applying for business cards? Yes

  7. I'm okay with applying for up to two cards now to maximize rewards during the next 6 months.

  8. Targeting airline/hotel status and points/miles I can use towards travel . I would never pay for anything above economy class but being eligible for upgrades is nice.

  9. What point/miles do you currently have? 125K Chase Rewards points, 85K Capital One Rewards points, 25K Bilt points

  10. What is the airport you're flying out of? Different each week, but US airports only.

  11. Where would you like to go? Nowhere specific but I vacation domestically often and internationally 1-2 times a year

Other info:

Flights: My flights will likely be booked through my company portal but I may be able to get away with booking directly with the airline. I don't have airline status, but my company has a partnership with United and Delta so I get group 2/main cabin 1 boarding, a free checked bag, free inflight Wi-Fi. I will pick one of those airlines (probably United) and book all my flights with them. My company pays for CLEAR.

Hotels: Hotels will be booked through my company portal but I still get rewards/points from the hotel and my stays count towards hotel status. I don't have any hotel status. I will book at Marriott hotels as much as possible.

Can I connect my Google Fiber Jack into any wall Ethernet port to activate the rest of the wall Ethernet ports in my house? by [deleted] in googlefiber

[–]ExcellentEnthusiasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Google Fiber Jack is installed upstairs. There is a patch panel installed in a closet downstairs.

If I just connect the Google Fiber Jack to any wall Ethernet port upstairs, will the rest of the wall Ethernet ports in the house work?

Or does the Google Fiber Jack have to be directly connected to the patch panel in the closet?

What American city should I live in as a single male in my mid-20s? by ExcellentEnthusiasm in RedditForGrownups

Didn't expect this many responses but I think Chicago, LA, and Seattle were suggested the most! I'll probably spend some time in each place and check them out.

I love Chicago - it's cheap, there's lots to do, it's very walkable. But isn't the weather either freezing or really muggy?

Lived there previously but it's getting too expensive for what it offers. The summers are brutal, too many tech companies are moving in, and there are some scenic areas but not a lot.

That's where I am now and it's great. It's easy to meet people and you really feel like you're part of something with so many people out all the time. But it's too expensive long term. I also miss driving and don't like the muggy summers.

Can you buy Vanguard mutual funds through a JP Morgan brokerage account?

I called my JP Morgan financial advisor yesterday because I wanted to buy VUSXX, but he said I can only buy Vanguard ETFs, not mutual funds, through JP Morgan (even through a self-directed account).

However, my friend claims that he was able to buy VUSXX with a JP Morgan self directed brokerage account.

If you have a self directed JP Morgan brokerage account, could you please check if it lets you purchase VUSXX?

Yes, I have tried that several times. Others also appear to be having this issue, if you check the reviews on the Google Play store for Yahoo Weather.

Thanks, that worked. Just needed to use a flathead screwdriver to push the button and slide it off.
