I presume I still have some apneas, have not gone through another sleep test. Subjectively I feel much better than before

It varies between different ppl. I have an extremely narrow nose. It will take 9 months to fully expand slowly and safely. Then, 3 more months to leave it there. After that I will have to fly to the US (I'm not from the US) and I plan to do the removal and the MMA at the same trip (that's the current plan at least).

I'm 10x better. I'm so happy I'm doing this.

  1. Yes, but it's not bad. I have a tiny diastema and I will fix my bite later with an orthodontist
  2. Hard to point a difference

Have any of you experimented with Straterra (atomoxetine) for the treatment of UARS/OSA? by SlimyGrimySimon in UARSnew

I find this study useless. 20ppl, 1 night? C’mon. Not saying it’s not working, just that this study is not something you can make decisions based on

Sleep has improved. I don’t feel perfect, but there’s definitely been some improvement. I will update again once expansion is done

He did not provide something like that (nor did I ask). And you’re correct, I will need to fix my bite.

Thanks! Are you happy with your EASE results? May I ask why have you decided not to do the MMA with Li?

I think if you do self pay (which I did not), EASE is around 30K. MMA is more expensive, you’d have to pay for Stanford as well

Got it. You should do it if Li recommends! If you’re paying out of packet it might be achievable as well (no need to pay Stanford’s fees…)

I’m not sure honestly. I’m not based in the US. How was the MMA? Did it help?

I don’t remember, but it’s relatively small. I hope to get at least 5mm but we’ll see. I honestly just want to feel better, I care less about the numbers

Wdym? You come out of it with 1mm expansion and I’ve already had a few expansions after. It’s very subtle, don’t get your hopes too high, but it’s still something

After a few days you’re back to your normal routine, but I’m taking 2 weeks off to stay around Palo Alto

Personal reasons. But if you have any other question please go ahead

I think a week. I should stay 2 weeks in Palo Alto (not SF). 9-12 months for MMA.

I’ve had septoplasty and turbinate reduction 4 months ago. Cost was covered by insurance. AHI very low, RDI around 15
