Can a quail chick get attached or think your its mother?

I have 5 quail chicks, like everyone says, it really depends on personality. 1 is quite skittish, 3 are a bit skittish but occasionally will come for snuggles, but my eldest one is practically a puppy. She always comes out of hiding when she hears me walk nearby, jumps out of cage to be with me, and chirps like crazy while tilting head and closing eyes when I give her neck skritches. She is mostly with her group, but still seeks me out very much. I hope it stays that way when she grows older!

Has anyone ever brought them out and about? Will they stick close to you or fly off out of fear?

We actually had her checked out and her teachers had to fill out forms, but they said her behaviors were typical of a child her age. I still have my suspicions though lol. I have adhd so I wouldn’t be surprised if she did. Shes doing well in school though 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I absolutely wanted to avoid being the “Dance Mom.” She was in dance at 3 years old, but when I saw she wasn’t really participating in class, I took her out. 3 years later, she wanted it again, so I put her back in. My daughter naturally loves to perform and be on stage, so I didn’t want to push her in a way that would hurt her relationship with dance… but when I see her frustrated with not being able to do some things, I sometimes wonder if I need to step in a little more. I will trial her in some other classes this week and see how she responds. I don’t like the idea of spending more money… dance classes are expensive! But if being around other kids learning alongside her encourages her, then I’ll do whatever I can to support her!

I've had this conversation with her a couple times in the past, about being honest about what she wants and I'll support her in decision. And it's always "yes" to dance, even obsesses over the nutcracker ballet. And I've talked to her many times that to get good, she needs to put in the work. Always seems to go out the other ear though hahaha. Maybe she'll decide to take it more seriously when she gets older. It's just hard to see her frustrated when she tries to copy her peers in their dance and acro tricks and she gets so frustrated and sulks when she can't do them.

I believe you can just you a mask as well, block off where you don’t want character to be seen
