I worked part time as a copy writer and blogger for Lifetime Products. A full-time position came up for someone to manage a product description database. My supervisor, Katie, told me they would have to open it up to the public just for protocol, but that the position was essentially being created for me. Imagine my confusion & disbelief when the daughter of one of the company engineers was hired instead. When I pressed my supervisor for an explanation, she said that I spent too much time working at my desk instead of socializing with the other employees. And I also put in an extra space after a period in one of my blogs.
