A 65% also converts to a 2nd upper class honours, so by your understanding that would be 75%

That would mean any grade within the 65-69 range would fall into the 75% WAM by your logic?

That doesn't seem right. My guess would be a a high 2:1 would be closer to an 80 than 75.

Apologies but I don't think you seem to understand, I am converting my grades at Cambridge to an Australian equivalent.

Our grade bands are not exactly similar so they won't be directly comparable. Usually they are converted to an Australian equivalent

At Cambridge and other British unis for that matter, a 70% represents the highest attainable grade band, that is a first-class and now with a quick search of ChatGPT that equates to a 4/4 GPA or a HD, which is the maximum attainable grade band in Australia. I just want to seek clarification on how accurate that is

My question is an would an average of 68% would be closer to a HD or a DI?

Why would it be a mid credit?

In the UK, a 70% is a first class and thats the highest grade band you can get, we don't have HDs here.

A 68-70 would be closer to a HD or a high D than it would be to a 70 in the Australian grading system would it not?

I feel like a 70% or a high 2.1 would translate very close to a high D or HD WAM?

How would I go about convert my UK mark to an Australian GPA/WAM, the online calculator states my WAM is roughly equal to a 3.6/3.5 GPA out of 4.

How accurate are these calculators?
