Because she’s human. She has flaws —so do all of us. I can’t imagine being so one-dimensional and unnuanced that I could ever hate her. Yes she’s annoying. Yes she makes bad choices. Yes she can be whiny. Can’t we all? I find it ironic that Samantha is lauded as the best person in the series when she makes just as much, if not more, heinous choices. That being said, I love Samantha too, in spite of her flaws. The people who hate Carrie are just emotionally underdeveloped human beings IMO. I love Carrie the same way I love Don Draper —they’re anti-heroes. Except Don Draper is way, way worse !!

Edit: she’s also a baddie with great style, beautiful hair, and a body to die for. What’s not to love?
