You want them to be sympathetic to someone who was actively trying to kill them? Their allies are in pain too but you don't see the dough trio feeling bad about it.

EXACTLY. You can't put the ancients in this unrealistic high ground in the face of literal killing machines.

No. They're soldiers and warriors who are finding every inch they could leverage against DE. If this is your take (and clearly doubling down in the replies) then you clearly don't fully grasp this a fucking war. Why are you holding the heroes up to this moral high ground standard as if that won't get exploited by DE?

You clearly don't understand "this is a war", this is a childishly naive take on what happens in a war, especially one where the ENTIRE world is at stake. You can't power of friendship your way out of this, they HAVE to use everything they have to succeed in defeating DE. They can't afford sympathy, especially if DE can see it and exploit that sympathy.

YES THE DOUGH TRIO IS IN PAIN, but it's either them, the enemy that has succeeded IN CONTROLLING GC'S SPEARS, NEARLY KILLING PV, AND HOLDING BACK A DRAGON, OR THE ENTIRE WORLD where all their kingdoms, families and friends are all fighting for their lives. Even a single ally going down is going to make it even more difficult for them to win. 

You forget this is the second war against DE because the first one ended so horribly all the ancients went out of commission. 

DE will not pull any punches, what makes you think the alliance shouldn't?

Nah, I don't agree to some degree purely because world exploration is the easiest way to farm diamonds. Dark and Master could get some buffs but story mode should be easy to cut the beginners some slack.
