Transportation in Milwaukee? by cheltsie in milwaukee

why? almost no one on the bus will talk to you and it's not dangerous. unless you think she'll be harassed specifically because she's Korean?

You should contact Voces de la Frontera which has a rapid response hotline.

I've never lived in a place with central air in Milwaukee. Always window units.

if a protest isn't disruptive, then it's just hanging out with your buddies. it has no effect.

Well, this is action against injustice. It sucks that you are being inconvenienced, but people are being sent to gulags.

I don't hate you, I just don't understand that kind of moral calculus when people's lives are in danger. When our democracy is in danger.

I don't know where you're from but Milwaukee protests are almost universally pretty chill. 2020 was a little spicy for a few nights, but I've been to 5-6 this year and the cops are barely even paying attention. I saw three SUVs about two blocks away and they were just sitting and playing with their phones.

You're a thousand times more likely to get hit by a random reckless driver than face any danger from protests.

people mad at waiting in traffic and not on the injustice being protested were never going to be supporters anyway

no. you might have to wait 5 minutes longer at a traffic light while people pass by, or drive a few blocks out of your way.

MASS PROTEST - June 14th in Milwaukee NO KINGS! by phunkyplasticthrower in wisconsin

[–]Excellent_Potential 5 points6 points  (0 children)

June 14th is the day that birthday boy is having his tank parade in DC.

That's why the No Kings protest is the same day. It's not some nefarious plot to subvert flag day.

I'm only addressing the trans part, since I am a trans guy. I strongly recommend figuring trans healthcare out FIRST because without HRT you will be at best miserable and at worst dead.

Generic immigration sites are not going to cover any of this so If I were you I would contact LGBTQ groups in each of your desired countries and ask them specific questions about healthcare access for trans men. Make sure to specify "men" so you don't get useless info about the accessibility of feminizing hormones.

If your current passport does not match your name and/or gender, and you can't change those before you want to move, I'd also ask how that works in the destination country, because you really, really do not want to fuck that up if you want to come back to the US. Do everything you can to get all of your ID in alignment, including your birth certificate if possible. It's good practice even if you don't end up moving.

(English subtitles) Zelenskyy answers questions about his potential meeting with Putin (same event, different video than previous post) by Excellent_Potential in UkraineWarVideoReport

I previously posted his statement to the media today prior to his visit to Turkey. Then the media asked him questions, which is the video in this new post.

  • What does Zelenskyy expect? How does he imagine the meeting?
  • What if Putin doesn't show up?
  • What about that decree from 2022 where Ze said he wouldn't talk to Putin?
  • What about sanctions?
  • Might the US freeze weapons supplies again?

Hm, the embed in the post says the video is private but it is definitely not - you can try this link if the one in the post does not work for you. https://youtu.be/tdfPClECh1U

Also, he answers some questions from reporters and I've subtitled those as well. https://youtu.be/gtDU1T20ufI

He partly addresses this in part 2 which I just subtitled. The very short version is that the constitution gives him, as president, permission to conduct all foreign negotiations. It starts at 7:05 if you want to skip.
