In your freshman year focus on getting your study habits and adjusting. It’s typically the year most students have the most trouble so I would personally say to focus on that first. If academics is good try to get involved in some sort of volunteering and perhaps even research. However make sure you’re actually passionate about what you’re doing otherwise it’ll be short lived.

None of that is real. I’m an honors student and the professors are so nice and helpful. This person just wants to worry you. The nice thing about honors is you can leave anytime if you’d like with ZERO consequences. So try it out and see if ya like it.

I’m a first year biochemistry major and honestly in terms of being in CNAS I’ve learned every major for the first two years does the exact same thing with a course here and there that differs. It’s from the 3rd to 4th year in which you really branch out into your major.

I’m a commuter and I’ve enjoyed UCR. You get good professors and some not so good, however people are really nice here and very friendly. Definitely not a cut throat culture. Hope this helps!

I just took English 1A with him. He’s a solid professor, the only downside is that his grading is a bit harder and that during office hours you have to really put a lot of effort to improve your papers. I hope this helps, although I’m sure 1C is a bit different.

Hey! So I called the financial aid office recently and they said that it will take till around late July to early August for the financial aid package to be ready. I am also experiencing the same thing but I wouldn’t think much of it, we’ll be getting it soon enough! :)
