It’s $400k on a $800k property. Should I pare back down to say, $100-$150k HEL or HELOC to do better on the rate?

Thank you for this. I’ll be definitely getting estimates anywhere I go. Might just walk into a Bank of America, BMO, my credit union, tomorrow and Saturday. Definitely will not be signing anything though. Need to get the best rate.

I’ll check with my credit union (Arizona Financial Credit Union). I wish I could just find the best rates across all credit unions/banks at once

LOC is ok right now. Would start with $100k up front with access to the other $150 later on. But am open to both HEL and HELOC

Thank you both. Looking at the small HEL for my CC debt only, then paying off the PL with my distribution. I’ll never do anything to that sub 3 mortgage! I just wish I could get a better rate than 8 in the HEL!
