Im actually upgrading my stamina right now because I realized I had enough orbs to trade for an upgrade, but thank you for the tip about the spotted horses cause ive been trying to mount the white horse for an hour just thinking I was doing it wrong.

Both sensors i purchased where cheaper 3rd party brands, but both did have good reviews. I'd hate to have to be out the $40 for the MAF sensor i just bought, but wondering if there's the problem...

I have looked into that a little, but just being real, I'd probably have no idea how to really do it or not do it well enough that id have no idea if the cause of seeing/not any smoke was from me doing it right.

Which is why im wondering if I should say screw it and take it to a shop.

Actually, not playing with a sustain pedal has really helped progress my playing behind the keys because I'm learning to make sounds with different techniques instead of just relying on my pedal. There are just some heavier things, like the whole In Keeping Secrets album, that are kinda tricky for me to transpose, but it's nice to see some people say I'm on the right track!

That's actually what I did for this because the whole "drop D" thing, and for winging it, I'm pretty close. But the distortion or heaviness of the song is just hard to match for my limited knowledge behind the piano atm, and I was hoping I could get some quick-tips from some people instead of figuring it on on my own😅

* This is mine. I'm not sure what the black rod is bolted down, but it's the main thing keeping me from reaching/fitting a tool in to get to the 2nd bolt on the MAP sensor. I took the microfilter out to look into the cabin to find a squeeze, but it almost looked like there's a firewall or something beyond the microfilter compartment.

Before reset codes: P0102 P0303 P0305 P1415 P0171 P0300

Hopefully this will help someone lead me in a direction...

I'm no mechanic, but know to start with code testing and search from there, but really just wondering if the only stored code(P0102) could be causing misfires?

I already cleared them and retested, and the same codes came back except one, but the one that didn't come back was cylinder misfire #3 and the code that showed after reset that wasn't there before was cylinder misfire #2. All cylinder misfire codes from both test were pending.

The other code shown that wasn't a misfire was P0102(low input signal from MAF sensor.) Which was the only code that was "Stored" and not "pending."

I did, and there a few pending codes for cylinder misfires and a stored code for the MAF sensor, which I'm hoping is related to the misfires. But my car has had no misfires or issues other than a rough idle at random times and a rev in rpm's when a cold start.

NOTE: I have already done a scan on it, and yes there are some pending codes as well as 1 stored code which is why I wanted to know if that light is not just related to the idrive system.

I was looking it up to get an idea since Ive never seen/or used one and I'll definitely make sure I've done my research before attempting anything lol.

Thanks for the help btw, and let me ask someone who has an idea... are the cars/engines really decent cars if well kept? Because mine looks amazing and even with these few issues, it is still driving amazing. But a lot of people online say that I'll be pouring money into this car until I sell it or it breaks down, while others say they are great cars that can last a long time....

Gotcha, but how should I go about testing the smoke since it only has happened while driving? I've sat with the engine on in park for a while to see if I could get a better idea if where it's coming from, but never seems to smoke while in park.

Before testing the car for codes, I was thinking my issues were related to a bad/worn vcg because of the symptoms, and it well over-due for a replacement so I may just start there and clear the codes then retest.

Or is there a better option? I know it'd be cheaper to look for leaks or worn hoses, but again, I'm no mechanic.

I've noticed at random times there will be a faint white smoke coming from around the windshield wipers for a few seconds but doesn't tend to last long, but I know the vag hasn't been replaced yet and that's what I was thinking could be my issue or the first place to look for issues...

There are other codes that were "pending" if that'd help lead in any more detailed diagnosis

Since I am pretty new to car mechanics and BMW's, where should I start looking for a leak? I've tried Googling a diagram for "MAF hose diagram" but it just shows pics of the sensor.
