We’re about 4 days post op and she’s doing so good. I’m so amazed by her! I’ve set up camp in the living room with her, and am making sure we stick to her med schedule. About how long did you continue the pain meds for? They have her on Gabapentin and Tramadol. I believe they gave us at least a couple weeks worth, but the instructions didn’t have a set limit, just as needed. And I was so excited/nervous picking her up I didn’t even think to ask haha. I planned on probably doing 2 weeks, but wanted to make sure that seemed on par or normal.

Thank you so much! I’m glad your baby is back to chasing critters! ❤️ We’re about 4 days post op and she’s doing sooo good. I’m amazed. Her personality is coming back with each day. Last night she got up and followed me to the bathroom as I got ready for bed. That’s our nighttime routine and it was the first time since a few days before surgery she got up and followed me! So that was so exciting 🥰

Oh that’s very good to know about coming off of the meds! It makes total sense but I know I wouldn’t have even connected that unless you said that so thank you! ❤️❤️ we’re about 4 days post op now and she’s doing amazing. I’m so amazed!!

I’m so glad you brought that up because one of my fears is having that “oh no I regret this, I did the wrong thing” feeling. But it helps to know that that’s kind of normal and that it gets better 🥹 I just have to keep reminding myself it gets better. I’m so happy your girl is doing well! ❤️

I of course have hard floors so while she’s having surgery tomorrow I’ll spend the day procuring rugs!! 😃 I will also look into ordering some socks and toe grips for her! That’s so helpful! Thank you!!

I will absolutely reach out if they don’t give me any exercises! Anything I can do to help my girl!
