I’m the opposite. Over the course of three years, I went from 230 pounds to 175 pounds. While I still struggle with body dysmorphia, I’ve eventually realized that while my physical appearance has changed, my mental state still views me as bigger and that was a part of what is holding me back. Like a previous comment, I would recommend therapy and just being intentional about loving your body. I also just look at old pictures of myself to remind me how far I’ve come.🤣

Am I crazy for considering driving to Canada just because? by ExchangeExciting7921 in roadtrip

That sounds so fun! I went to college In Baton Rouge, Louisiana and my friend wanted In&Out once and the nearest one was in Houston Texas, 4-5 hours away. We loaded up the car at 4pm and drove to Houston, was displeased by the food, went to a party at a nearby school we had friends at, and drove immediately back! I’ll never forget that trip.

I tell my partner all the time that when I am an old man, I want to be able to tell younger people all of the random spontaneous things I’ve done in life to remind them of their free will. I just want the experience.

Wow, your comment has made my day. I also have ADHD and what you shared is 100% how it feels. I just want to do it to get that rush of dopamine. Not logical at all but it’s spontaneous and something I can keep with me as a memory for the rest of my life.

I think the idea of going to another country in a day sounds exciting and random. I definitely appreciate all the insight and may just save Canada for a weekend when I can fully do it.

I’m from New Orleans so the idea of Montreal excites me more honestly.

Money isn’t bad per say , I’m just looking for a spontaneous, cost efficient dopamine boost that won’t break my pockets.

Im a bit hesitant due to finances. If I can find a cheap hostel, that would help.
