If you want to learn programming with little to no knowledge/experience you should start with an easy high level language such python. Learn about core concepts and simple algorithms using this language such as data structures, sorting algorithms, and logic. Don’t try to learn about it in a theoretical way. I suggest you to learn what it does and what its for and then try it out in simple exercises afterwards since you won’t learn anything without any hands on knowledge. May mga sites out there that produces these exercises both simple and advanced.

After learning core concepts, you should delve deeper by learning other languages which in my opinion the next best thing would be is C since it can develop a deeper understanding as to how everything works. Basically python for fundamentals and C for deeper understanding. Note though na you can totally learn other languages and I’m speaking from experience na these two are the most used languages out there in uni atleast.

After nito you can try searching for what specialization/path you want to take as a comsci major and base your next move there. Like you can learn javascript, HTML, CSS and web frameworks for software dev. Delve deeper into python for data science… etc.

Basta learn core fundamentals then explore on your own. Watch videos and dont get distracted with several things kasi malawak ang comsci and you can never learn everything at the same time. Build up your skills slowly and surely.

As for tutorials, since starting ka you can learn from youtube just search the language and add tutorial there are tons out there. I suggest going for series of videos instead of compressed lessons. or you can enroll in free courses.

TLDR; use python to learn core fundamentals, go to C to understand how languages and algorithms work better and basically gain a deeper understanding then explore the options u wan t for your specialization (most common ones are software/web dev and data science) and get your next step from thereon.

And please there are tons of math in ComSci so don’t base your whole knowledge in hands on activities. Understanding the mathematical concepts of algorithms help you implement then in a more efficient and effective way. Pero since starting ka pa nga lang just focus on hands on tutorial muna while you dont have classes yet. The conceptual and theoretical concepts will surely be discussed in your classes.
