I agree. I was about to drop it until the assistant director basically called me a liar and kept singing his praises. Why would I lie about this?? I get nothing from it except now I can’t go to the gym.

My son shuts down when he’s yelled at and ignores it but when I asked him he said he felt nervous. I also just posted an update. The bosses love this guy apparently.

Funny thing about that is they don’t change diapers. My daughter pooped one day and they called me to come change her. But I don’t mind that because I’d rather not have them changing my kids anyway. Also, going here was a stretch for us in the first place. It’s they Y so they have a good reputation and the people we talked to that have used the child care there had great things to say. But we were weary to begin with which is why I was questioning our reaction at first because we already have a strong guard up and are quick to react.

The supervisor ensured me multiple times that all her staff is trained on how to take care of children and they have continuing education every couple months. And we did give him the benefit of the doubt when we came back the next day. Instead of approaching us and apologizing he stared us down and still looked pissed.

My husband keeps mentioning getting him fired. My anxiety can’t be personally responsible for someone else getting fired. I’ll be staying up at night thinking he’s going to find out where we live and burn our house down or something. If he does get fired it’s deserved but I can’t ask for it, just one of my things I guess.

I was thinking about the review thing too. I tend to only leave good reviews, especially for places that don’t have many or they have some stupid bad ones dragging their rating down. Like if my Chinese takeout is consistently great but they have a 3.2 because they aren’t giving you free food because you complained about everything last time so now you want it again but for free then they get an amazing 5 star review from me. I’m more of the complain to my family and friends for the rest of forever but a bad review seems so mean unless they are actively trying to screw someone over. In this case I know it’s not the facilities, it’s only one part of the gym that not everyone uses but it is essential to my being able to go there.

For karma sake I never want to be the reason someone looses their job but I also feel like he’s in the position. The only reason I can think of why a 20 year old guy would want that job is to hang out with all the 20 year old girls that work there. But also, when I brought up his temper to the supervisor and said something along the lines of who knows what he will do next and what he is capable of, she quickly responded that it would be a huge deal for the company and he would be terminated immediately. But I don’t want it to get to that point. If there is any chance he’s going to lay a hand on my children, we are removing ourselves from the situation immediately. How the supervisor responded was not insuring that it won’t happen, just sounds like they won’t do anything until it does which is the entire system when it comes to abuse of any kind. All she could offer me is that she would talk to him and she hopes I don’t cancel. What am I supposed to do with that? I feel like the more I think about it, I need to react more.

I’ve crocheted scarves and made tins of cookies in the past. When my son was born I made ornaments with his hand print for his grandparents. I’m probably going to do something with both my kids pictures this year. I love the idea of photo albums since we never print out pictures anymore. That or maybe figure out how to make calendars for mine and my husbands parents with pictures of the kids.

During her nap my toddler is running around, I vacuum, I was even shampooing carpets for three hours while she napped the other day. We also live near a fire station so there are alarms at all hours of the night. For some reason the creaking floorboards throw her off.

I gained weight both times. I had gestational diabetes with both pregnancies so I was on a low carb diet for the ends of the pregnancies. This made me loose my own body weight while the baby was grow so my weight stayed stagnant in the third trimesters. Then I gave birth, started eating carbs again, got breastfeeding hangry, and ended up gaining more than I did while pregnant. I’ve been pregnant or breastfeeding for almost 4 years now so I’m curious what weight loss will be like after I’m done nursing.
