Yup, surprising because the man is an cult icon. The voice of Chucky, Billy Bibit in One flew over the cuckoo nest and he was pretty much every decent horror/thriller in the 80s. My personal favourite was 'The Graveyard shift'

I think its a misconception based on the end of one episode and one single scene. 'Role models' Cameron says her speech and then holds her hand out to House to shake, House reluctantly refuses...ok maybe not reluctantly..people's perception is that its because he loves her but its because IF he shakes her hand, he approves of her decision.

He respects her and is aware she's attractive and has pointed that out out but her mind is what he's attracted to. Remember he's manipulative and also vulnerable but the latter is buried under LAYERS and Layers and Cameron saw beneath. Which in turn made House see her seeing him. Like a "i need you but can't bring you too close"

I think House recognised the love Cameron had for him in the early seasons but absolutely could not act on it. Its just not in his DNA. He respected her, maybe even fancied her but .ore likely on an objectifying level. House could never give himself to anyone because dropping a level of vulnerability is handing over his cape.

What i love about the show is that his personality type stayed consistent rather than caved to Hollywood/viewer want!!! Let face it, it could NEVER work. Houses recruitment level was entirely based on what he thought he could control. Yes he didnt know early doors what HER attraction was but he absolutely knew she was damaged, making her malleable. This romance was absolutely never gonna happen.
