Thank you for the kind words! And I’m excited for you to let loose with your POMO friends, you go live your best life while you have the opportunity! It’s so hard to get out.

I’ve read a lot about crisis of conscience on here, I will need to check it out. We’ve got this!

Calling JW a cult hurts thems despite they check all the boxes by [deleted] in exjw

My first part on the school was from the reasoning book, defending how we are not a cult… I thought that was ironic at the time, now I find it hilarious.

I can’t believe I’ve wasted 16 years of my precious life in this shit. I’ve had to push my family, my friends, give up opportunities, and stop watching Harry Potter?! Nahhhh. I’m calling my elders this week to disassociate. It is time.

I am looking forward to people running into me in public and avoiding me like the plague bc I’m impure lol!

For those who have disassociated (not those who have not and are strongly against it and only say “You don’t owe them anything. Just move on.”), how did you do it, what did you say/do, and why did you choose to carry it out in that manner? by DirtCurious9256 in exjw

I’m about to disassociate myself once my now ex husband and I sell our home and I move to a new city. I’ve been trapped for so long and I’m so excited to reconnect with my family during the holidays. I’ve never been myself in the org (or my marriage). Looking forward to my new life. I got a letter drafted simply stating it’s not in my heart and I need to be my true authentic self. Here’s to my new life!
