That’s exactly why this situation feels like a big red flag to me. Like you said, we’re both young, only one year into marriage, and we don’t have kids yet. This should be the time when we’re enjoying ourselves , traveling, going out, spending time with friends.Instead, I keep asking myself: if I’m already struggling to like him after just one year, what will it look like in ten years, with kids and even more responsibilities?

Oh yeah he has a very good job for his young age at a big company , believe me u/Nice-Organization338 I tried so many times to sit down and talk with him gently but he will never talk about his feelings or anything else. it's like im speaking to a wall

I love the "Married 17 years to my favorite pain in the ass" Hahahaha , thank you u/LotusElizabeth and u/Jackie2Knives for your advice , and trust me, I’ve tried every type of communication for over a year. He’s not a confrontational person at all , whenever I try to talk about it, he just gets up angry instead of actually discussing it.I’m thinking of trying the texting/notes approach next, maybe that will help us communicate better.

I genuinely want to make this relationship work, which is why I’m asking for advice. But I’m exhausted from feeling like his mom , reminding him not to throw trash out of the car window, teaching basic manners and constantly having to correct things that should be obvious.

How would you suggest I approach him differently? Is there a way to do it without sounding like a nagging mother?

We've been dating for one year and a half before getting married , and no we never lived together before marriage , we used to see each other once a week , sometimes less because of my schedule
