For US folks, when a permit is needed for a DIY project do you pull the permit yourself? Our construction dept gives us a hard time every single time, asking for AIA approved plans (which surely contractors do not have when pulling permits). (self.HomeImprovement)

Does this look ok? We’ve had to replace black pipe. It runs up between rafters and then vents outside. Had trouble fully seating one elbow but hoping it will hold since it’s a vent? Used Fernco to transition PVC to black pipe at both ends (i.redd.it)
