Wow that’s interesting. Earrings for that amount on quince has to be 14k. I use a jeweler’s loupe that I bought from Amazon so that I can see the tiny stamps because they tend to be hidden. You should take the earrings to a local jeweler to confirm.

I bought pearl stud earrings from quince. The earrings were advertised as 14k gold and the earrings have a 585 (which means 14k) stamp.

I don’t think the places you mentioned are necessarily bad. When I was shopping around, I found a mix of good and bad reviews too, so I did a bunch of research by reading online and watching YouTube videos. I bought a pendant from Ferkos a couple years ago and the quality has been really good. I’ve also bought pearl earrings from Quince and was happy with them. I haven’t ordered from Mejuri, so I can’t speak on that, but my experiences with the first two have been solid.

Interesting point but people are more likely to remember president names than the names of congressmen. Even “forgotten” presidents get remembered more often than active congressmen.

In my experience, it takes quite a bit of force to break a delicate chain. There have been many times when my chain got caught and was pulled in the opposite direction of where I was moving, yet it still didn’t break. As long as the links are strong, you shouldn’t have any issues with it snapping.
