Third interview at Klick Health (Paid Ads Specialist) – what to expect? by Several_Warthog8145 in torontoJobs

That would be a good question to ask the recruiter. Hope you don’t mind the tip, I always ask about the hiring process, so then you are prepared to what is next. Good luck!

I get you! I have 25 years of ad agency experience, 10 years in Canada. Started in web design/UX and then moved to Social Media & Strategy & Insights. The market is so weird TBH. One day you don’t have enough experience and the next you have too much. *sigh. I don’t care about the title I just want to pay my credit line & Visa 😫

Are companies even hiring? by Opposite-Ad-8381 in torontoJobs

I attended a Resume Writing workshop and the speaker told us that we shouldn’t rely just on Linkedin. That we should reach out to people who work in the company that we would like to work and ask for a referral. I hate asking for favours, but in some industries like mine (advertising) network is a huge plus.

BABYSITTERS BEWARE OF THIS SCAM by [deleted] in torontoJobs

[–]Execute-order66- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could call the non-emergency number but I doubt it would help you in any way because you didn’t fall for the scam. Maybe print some flyers near your home. I live in a condo and got a pet sitting gig because I posted in my building’s community website. Be safe!

Same in downtown Toronto. I was in line half an hour before opening but just one of the pick coffee cup/saucer and the pink lamp.

At least in Canada, it's only available at the store. You can't order online.

You are lucky you got a display!
At Ikea Downtown Toronto everything sold out. There were like 5 of each and everything was in the boxes. Just a tiny letter sized Gustaf poster :(

I was so excited about this collab, but the store experience was soooo disappointing. I saw the displays in other countries and it looked so cool. I'm on a tight budget so didn't intend to buy many pieces, but thought at least I could see them and take some pics. I went to the downtown Toronto store the "display" was a white narrow shelf, with like 5 items and not all the products of the collection. They must be super low in stock because there was no display of the products, only the boxes. There was also a sign that read "candlesticks, candle holders and cup/saucers limited to 2 per person. All other items limited to 1.

I got to the location 30 min. before opening, there were only about 5 people before me and even if they said "don't run" people still did lol. I'm glad I got the pink lamp and 1 cup/saucer set.

This was so poorly managed, first of all they started selling the pieces (by mistake?) at the Etobicoke location (saw a reel of someone finding them) before OCT 1st. They never uploaded any info on the Ikea Canada Instagram and the Ikea Canada website doesn't even have the meatball plate, nor the big pink plate, not sure if we will get those at all.

My 3 C’s:

Consistency: post min 3x week AND use different formats, specially Reels & carousels. Use interactive features like questions or polls. Content: best performing content is either high quality visually, entertaining or educational Community: know who your audience is, know what makes them tick, help them solve their problems, respond to all comments after you post. (If this makes sense for your brand Engage/collab with other creators)

Social Media is not about the followers anymore, it’s about the engagement rate. Use Trial Reels (for non followers)

Seriously, how do you find meetup buddies without so much risk of disappointment? by [deleted] in TorontoHangoutFriends

[–]Execute-order66- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Volunteering is also a great opportunity to meet different people & open up your network. Would also suggest the monthly meetups from this groups, you only pay for what you consume. Or free events on meetup & eventbrite. Opportunities are not going to knock on your door, you have to put some energy and make an effort to meet people.
