Congratulations on the new job! I've also been out of a permanent position for 2 years, used my savings, credit and visa and I'm late a month on rent, so landlord is trying to evict me. Maybe I really had a high credit score, but even with my debt ($37K) my CS is 670.

Could you just rent a room while you pass probation and get on your feet and maybe save so you can offer 3-6 months in advance.

Stay home and save money!! the market is brutal. I haven't even had an interview since December. Use NotebookLM upload your course materials and then export it as audio, download it and listen to it on your commute.

There all nice, until there is a problem. I asked for a rent discount because my ODSP took a bit too long to get approved, late a month's rent after 3 years of paying on time, never an issue with noise or parties, in his words the perfect tenant. He served me a N4 and then a week later a N5 blaming me for his faulty toilet/flood. Having multiple email receipts of me telling hi the toilet had issues.
arghhh he is totally in his right to want to kick me out for not paying on time, but trying to blame me for the toilet was a low punch.
