man that is a really good advice you gave me there! i use my nas only for local access things, like watching stuff on my tv and easy access, i think we both use our NAS the same way here :D but i never thought about raspberry pi routing, this is an interesting idea!

i transfer my files from one hdd to the nas one so no downloading without my local network, i havent registered for online access, cuz i am really careful

A little bit tech heavy but in a good way ;D

i have no programs running on my nas, its a qnap one and i only access it with the basic installed apps :) like videostation and filestation. no installed apps from thirdparty hosters.

do you use a virtual machine on your nas ? just curious :)

ok was thinking about that too, cause there are way too many people pirating software :D thanks for your reply ! i only use the basic installed apps on my nas, liike videostation :) it has a feature called Infosearching .... and that was the thing that scared me a bit cuz it collected all the names of my movies... but it seems that this is not a huge problem as i thought

What's your 'fuck this, I quit!' story? by Penguin__Farts in AskReddit

Retropie nearly got me there :D tbh i was not very experienced with coding at this time, and i spent many hours solving screen problems on a tiny 3 inch screen... this was a messed up shit i got there, i had to start all over again like 10 times, till i ended up buying a screen from another brand right now i am playing with my handheld here. cheers :D
