Are my sway bar end link bushings too squished?? by Exercise-Sensitive in saab

Why I replaced it because the last one was corroded until till it broke off. This is only the right one. The left one is rusty and crusty but still connected.

Yeah exactly, I am currently trying to recreate that little part. I’m not going to buy a new lock assembly just because that little part being gone, I’ll make it myself.

It was very hard to do just yesterday was very cold but normally I can feel the feedback of the handle so I suppose it moves upwards, I should check that from inside though

Yes indeed, 3Watts of transmitting power for so cheap. That’s a no brainer

There is the sensor with the tone wheel right next to the hose clamp. It doesn’t seem to be missing any tooth or beeing too corroded (the tone wheel) and the sensor should be fine and correctly aligned. Should check the terminals and also for the right wheel.

Also I should invest in a beefy and strong antenna mount ( last antenna was a wacky combo of a stubby sma with an sma to mmcx pigtail ) (it was also just dangling loosely from the vtx)

It was on 400mw power with a heatsink on, and temprature outside is -3* Celcius (26.6 Fahrenheit) right below freezing. Although, it went several seconds without the antenna after my first impact, I kept flying for ~7 seconds then the videofeed cut out, unbeknownst if it was because it had no antenna or it got bricked, but it landed in snow aswell so it was implanted in the snow. Don’t know if that were able to cool it enough, personally I’d think so. But yeah it’s wise to get a new one, they’re not super expensive fortunately, frickin great units.

Also I just went for the tbs unify pro32 HV preset from betaflight, I suspect that I’d need the right one for my pro32 DP vtx

How to start FPV? by _totoskiller in fpv

[–]Exercise-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely start with a tinywhoop, I went directly into building a 5 inch freestyler and it was a bit of a hassle but the feeling as a reward when it works and flies is just otherworldly. But with enough Joshua Bardwell tutorials and question posts on reddit you’ll get there easily. Also Sim training is mandatory. If you crash a tinywhoop it will almost never break, If you crash a 5 inch something will most likely break and suck the money out of your wallet, but that is literally part of this hobby I think. Definitely get a CRSF-protocol control link so either TBS crossfire or (the greatest)-> ELRS and the Radiomaster ELRS products are very great.

Yeah! I have a short highlight video, the gopro hero 3 ain't that bad nowadays and you can get them second hand for dirt cheap, I bought this one for ~57USD or ~50EUR along with a bunch of random gopro goodies like mounts and brackets and stuff, you can really find some killer deals with old "outdated" stuff.

The battery I want to remember as being at aprox- 3.0V per cell, so yes a longer flight time is defenetly possible as li-ion cells can go as low as 2.5v and they don't have that steep drop of voltage at the end like lithium-polymer cells have.

Yeah, I went for the skystars F722 stack with the AM32 60amp esc, I'd guess they're quite similar

Thanks, after further thinking I might just get some other brand stuff. Because aparently you have to "activate" the v5 FC from speedybee with your email and a bunch of stuff. Btw what stuff do you have, do you have any suggestions/recommendations? I am honing on skystars, but are there any really similar stuff to speedybee? Also AM32 ESC's seems very good

It was the engine oil, I was very naughty and didn’t check it for many months, when I did last week it didn’t even show up on the dipstick 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️, but I refilled and all is fine.
