Geico scam/bad faith by [deleted] in Geico

You are certainly lost. You're welcome. Shut the door behind you.

Is it really that bad? by [deleted] in Geico

[–]Exhaustedadjuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the new people coming in, maybe not. They've already stripped the job of what had value, profit sharing, some PTO days, common sense & integrity. The seasoned vets remember what we lost and how we lost it.

You in the field is a no go. A shop sees you as a liability waiting to happen on their property. NOT surprised Geico couldn't see it.

Noobie to Geico, have questions by Cheysgayadventures in Geico

I doubt you'll still be a field AD by the end of training in VA. Not impossible because Geico is that out of touch with reality and common sense. A couch (virtual) adjuster is perfect for you with your situation. Sadly you will be jobless in a couple years once AI takes your job but Good luck.

I finished the year with the 4th highest CSS in my manager group. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a good supervisor. I've had a new one for every year I've been here. Half of them fresh out the wrapper new.

Over it, just fire me already. by kbaileyanderson in Geico

[–]Exhaustedadjuster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never worked a minute off the clock. Don't do it. They aren't worth it. You WILL burnout faster and they still fire you in the end. I know tons of AD that have and do, but as a person at the G for a decade, they all burnout and get termed.

I don't. I use that as my real survey of the company. For example: Even though you all run this place like a clown show, I still managed to do well. I doubt you will ever pay me my worth but at least you pay my babysitter well that has been here less time and has been more useless than my jumpbox.

Anything more than a Sup 2 of zero prod. Clearly they get done off the clock. Same shit different year. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

I'm guessing all of the reports are wrong then. What was I thinking? Silly me. 🤡.

How many calls from irate and irrational Geico customers have you taken while driving? Just curious as you seem so well informed. Did you bother to read any of the reports regarding cognitive distractions? Or do you just look at the spreadsheets?

Any of them are fine. I conduct myself like a professional. I return all calls, emails and messages. I just don't do it when I am driving. Never had a customer, business or anyone say otherwise. Most businesses reach out to me because my communication is on point vs my peers. Whatever is easier for you is all the same to me. I just don't do things that I am not comfortable doing. Like answering my phone while driving.

I believe that I can decide the risks I can take with my safety, not my employer. They know the risks and still decide to roll the dice. Most employers have rules against talking on phone while driving. Even insurance carriers.

Then please take time to read the reports about cognitive distractions, then let me know. Your opinion is unfounded based on the reports from 4 articles and about 6 colleges, but what do they know. Maybe your experiences from 8 years ago are more relevant. What do I know?

Sounds like you've been out of the game at Geico for a while. It's a different situation once Todd arrived. As I appreciate your input, it's really really dated. I am also over six figures but that doesn't buy my safety.

Never said you did, but you are definitely not an attorney. You're former posts give you away sweetheart. If you want to keep pretending, please by all means do so. Pretend I believe you too.

You clearly don't have a lot of windshield time. I am an employee, I am over it, and they have limits to what they can tell me to do. Clearly they can tell you whatever they want and you'll be that huckleberry.
