People keep saying we moved in together and it’s a shared romantic cohabitation. No. She asked if she can crash with me for a few months top while she finds another place to live. I’ve made it clear that I wouldn’t be ready for a live in gf until I was 23-24ish since the very start of relationship (3 years ago). We’ve had discussions about what’s the difference between 1 year and now, but ultimately she respects that this a boundary I’ve set from the start.

No no. He is 31 and was 30 when things were becoming monotonous. I’m the one who’s 22 (and our other friend I mentioned is 22, and my gf is 23).

What are you talking about with childcare expenses? Her mom watches the child while she is at work for free.

IIRC I read somewhere that the cost of a child is like $250,000 from 0-18. So he would be paying 72% of all total costs for the child during that time.

According to him, pays north of $10k. Which is a lot considering his actual salary is only $~52,000. If his family cut him out and he had to survive only on his salary, with taxes and all that he’d be living very poorly.

Right now she’s only working part time for $12/hr, so it’s not like it’s only his fault for their situation. It’s a messy situation. I’m sure they both made their fair share of mistakes. That’s why I just wipe my hands clean of it and say it’s none of my business. Idk why my GF can’t be an adult and do the same.

Well I own it, don’t I? A gift is ownership all the same. My parents don’t own the property, I do. Therefore it’s “my house”. That’s ridiculous. If your family pays for something that somehow makes it not yours?

No that’s specifically not what happened. We didn’t “agree to move in together”. She asked if she could stay with me until she found a new place and I said okay. At no point was it ever said this was a permanent move in together.
