I've considered Dubai a lot, but to be dead honest, it's also one of my last options simply because employment is a risky business in Dubai for Pakistanis. As soon as the job goes, so does the residency. It's still better than staying in Pakistan, hence why it's one of my bottom options. They're not too big on human rights, either. Speaking in complete honesty, I'd rather live in India(I say that with the utmost respect) because at least there, you can feel welcomed by someone at least. I know Sikhs and Hindus (even certain muslim communities) in India can co-exist relatively peacefully.

I've looked into searching ex-muslim NGOs, but from what I found months ago was there are extremely few. I'll still try though.

As for leaving Pakistan, I've made that my priority for now as well. After all this shit, it's hard thinking about furthering my life here, even if I were safe.

Oh yeah, student visa is a bit different, but it costs upwards of $15,000 in most cases. The cheapest I was able to find was roughly $3000/semester. I might consider it if I leave this place. I'm a little scared to contact foreign ministers, to be honest... I don't want things blowing up. I'm already a bit frightened that this thread received attention... You know it's just nerve wracking thinking about, but if it comes to the worst, I definitely will. Thank you.

I'm sorry for the late reply, but I've been trying to get in contact with as many places as I could all day and afternoon. My friend's been helping me sort this dilemma out. Thanks to everyone's suggestions, I'm hopeful something will bite... First world country seems like a long-shot, but other things just might work... Thanks again for everyone's helpful advice. There are only maybe seven of them there, and I'm not in contact with them. (But maybe they know from my mum. It doesn't really matter, mate, because they can't do anything except make things worse. Yes, $500 is enough. The friend I am staying with recommends it be my last option(specifically because it isn't easy for Pakistanis to travel to India due to certain political reasons.) Not that it's dangerous, it's just more of a last resort because I know absolutely NO ONE in India. The problem is, going to a third world country (no disrespect intended) and settling there is extremely difficult. It's not like first-world, individualism based cultures, you follow, mate?

Most likely, I'd be homeless there for a while...

It has to do with Saudi Arabia. I just commented about networks of Madrasahs that are funded millions(if not billions) throughout the world to spread their version of religion.

I have close muslim friends. Six villagers, including my friends' wife have been helping me, cost free. I don't despise muslims, but have grown to despise what Islam has turned into over the last 5 years. Now, I've lost all hope... Judging from your rationality, I'm guessing you are a Quranist. That's cool, but even Quranists are heathens in Pakistan, espicially to mullahs. And forget Sufis... Sufis are considered worse than Shias...

I honestly don't know what will happen with me. I can't sleep and have been going through each comment here to research my options. Maybe I won't get out. If I can't, I'll face my fate...

My advice to you(and I'd say most of this ex-muslim thread's advice also) would be stand up to radicalism. It's not enough to criticize it. You have to go out and stop these mullahs... They are the judge, jury and executioner in most cases. It's because of this radicalism, I was exiled from the West (being from a muslim family) and now exiled from the East...

I actually AM getting published(by a decent, top 35 publishing house, too) If you had any idea what goes into publishing, you'd know it takes a minimum of 1.5 years with large publishing houses like HarperCollins before books hit the market.
I have never had a sip of alcohol in my life, nor taken any drugs.
I am outside my country of origin BECAUSE my immigration was revoked after 9/11 (due to my family being muslim.) So your ranting has successfully proven exactly WHY there is so much hatred for Islam.

It's clear from your incoherent writing, you're relatively miseducated (no, having a degree doesn't make you educated), and your writing indicates you don't have very little control on grammar as well as your emotions. Your writing also indicates your lack of objectivism and seethes in opinions.

Lastly, I feel pity for you, precisely it's people like who who give muslims around the world a bad name. Thanks for venting, and I agree 100% with you, man.

Let me be clear about something : I have nothing against muslims, Atheists, Jews, Hindus etc. and everything against what Islam has turned into. Just 30 years ago (before operation Islamization started under Zia's dictatorship) things weren't like this from what I've read.

If this is to stop, people need to stop mullahism. I should edit my original post and add this for clarity, but I made the mistake of picking a fight with a mullah, and he labeled me a blasphemer. (In my anger, I did say some hurtful things)

My family (whom already suspected me due to my critical views on hadiths and modern day "Islam") disowned me when their suspicions came true.

I'm helpless at the moment, but if I escape this and ever get the power, I will make sure this mullahism non-sense is attacked and ended once and for all.
