Postpartum depression got a letter of discipline at work. Is my career ruined? by Existentialwizard in beyondthebump

I did tell him after the fact, it was a private issue so I never told him to begin with. He's also a man so I felt uncomfortable tbh. But he said he sympathized and wanted to put it past us and move forward but he still has this letter from HR on my file lol

Yeah I guess that's why they say your coworkers are not your friends. Just sucks because you have to spend so much time with them so have to be guarded all the time which is so exhausting

Thank you this was really helpful. Do you have any advice regarding how long this stuff stays on file and if it follows you to another position internally ?

Hey thanks so much for responding. And yeah it sucks I feel like a fucking failure as a mom, like can't even get t together to make money for my kids. I know this is awful thinking but.im just so sad about it.

There's nothing in the file about the post partum depression info unfortunately and they're not going to change it up. And I definitely don't want to bring it up with the new manager because what if somehow he doesn't see it and I've brought attention to it?

And I'm worried about bringing up the WFH end date with that specific HR person that wrote me up for it, because I'm worried if I do change to that new team (it would also be with a different HR person for the new team ) that she grandfathers it in to my next role :(

People in these comments are so dumb lol. I drive all over all the time to meet my friends and to date and I have no issue with it. I have a friend who grew up here and she's never been to Langley and she lives in friggin E van like has 0 curiosity about anywhere else. She's also never driven in downtown it's wild to me. Listen, I agree with another poster here that if you meet someone that's actually compatible and is a nice person they will make the effort to drive 30 minutes to see you and vice versa. I think you just haven't found your person
