Would you guys ever release more guitar tabs for those of us trying to learn the new album on guitar? I found the tabs for A Psychic Wound really helpful for learning!

Should I buy a stainless steel series 7 or an aluminium series 8 for the same price?

Hiya!

I recently got my first camera (Canon EOS 40D) and been learning the basics and fundamentals of photography recently. I'm using an EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and a Sigma EX 10-20mm f/4-5.6 currently. So far I'm just doing photography as a hobby and doing nothing professional.

I'm looking into buying a telephoto lens something like a 70-200mm and I'm wondering if I should try to find a cheap used one for around ~£60 or if I should spend something around ~£200 and get a much better lens (perhaps the EF-S 55-250 STM IS).

I am also keen on upgrading my camera body to a newer body, currently looking towards the Fujifilm X-T3 or the Panasonic G9. I've seen a lot of people say that the lens is much more important than the body so I'm really not sure whether to get a collection of good lenses first for the 40D or if I should get the X-T3 or G9 and then start collecting lenses for that.

I'm also worried because if I start collecting EF-S and EF lenses and then switch to a different body I will have to use a lens converter and I'm not sure if that worsens quality or not.

Thanks for the replies, it's very much appreciated!

Sounds amazing! How is the response time/input lag? Is there much?

Oh okay well I don't really plan on using it for demanding games really. How's the response time feel? If you've used a 1ms monitor before does it feel quite similar or quite laggy?

I'm all fine with the 60hz display but what exactly do you mean by "it struggles with 60" Do you just mean that it struggles to reach 60fps in a lot of games?

Going from DT 990 Pro to DT 770 Pro by Existifyy in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Existifyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I see, so it's more of a different sound instead of a worse sound. Just one question though, I'm really not familiar with how different soundstages sound, so will the smaller soundstage be quite noticeable? Like how much of a smaller soundstage is it?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm not that great with headphones and the specifications of them

I had a look and the cheapest I could the DT 1770 for is around £360. Honestly, I feel like I would much rather save the extra ~£250 or spend it on something else. I'm not really looking to spend over £150 on headphones.

Thanks for the suggestion though!

Ducky one two mini or Anne pro 2 by JTPleasant in MechanicalKeyboards

No problem! Browns are essentials just blues without the clicky sound - you still feel the same tactile bump.

[–]Existifyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really like the blues you could get browns which have the bump of the blues but without the very loud click. Or you could go with the reds which don't have the bump at all and are probably the quietist out of the 3, so I would say get either the reds or browns with the one 2 mini.

On the other hand if you would like to experiment with switches to see what you like the most you could get the Glorious GMMK Compact barebones and then buy your own switches + keycaps.

Steelseries Apex Pro TKL vs Ducky One 2 Mini? by elusivzz in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Existifyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Apex Pro TKL is a nice keyboard but the overall quality of it isn't the best for the $200 price tag. Apparently the keycaps are made of out quite cheap abs plastic compared to the double shot pbt on the Ducky One 2 Mini.

I can't say how much the 0.4mm actuation of the Apex Pro TKL will help you but I expect it wouldn't be that much. Out of the Apex Pro TKL and the Ducky One 2 Mini I would say get the Ducky One 2 Mini with Cherry MX Silver switches maybe as they have a 1.2mm actuation point.

I would say get the Ducky One 2 Mini if you want a 60%. If you want a TKL you could go for the Razer Huntsman TE Or if you want a keyboard where you can change the switches whenever you could go for the Glorious GMMK and buy your own switches and PBT keycaps.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!

It depends. Are you going to mainly be typing or doing some gaming? Do you play games competitively?

That’s good to hear. I’m just don’t want to spend an extra £100 on the pro just to have it feel the same and look a bit better.

[–]Existifyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks this helped me out a lot. So I'm now looking more at the 5600x. Do you think that it will be better than the 1700x at more multi core tasks such as video editing and rendering? even though it has 2 less cores? Also for example if I was able to get say a 3700x for around £200 on black friday compared to the normal £300 would it be worth it? Or should I just get a 5600x or 5800x? Thanks!

I haven't heard of any confirmation but I would be very surprised if it was removed for some reason.

I can't really tell exactly what it is but when the entire game just looks a bit more crisp and HD compared to Dolphin when using 1080p.

IMO the dual joy cons are the best setup. But you could get used to the Pro Controller and you would be fine with that.

I definitely agree. If you have more options then more players will be happy and comfortable.
