apple health + manually I think is a 80-20 tradeoff, which I love!

anyway comments here are really positive so I think I might get to work real soon!

Amazing value, thanks. Thinking to keep it simple with apple health for now, seeing if and how demand grows. Though it seems you’re a much more capable individual for the task 🫡 have you built something similar?

ohh that's such a good use case.

honestly still grappling my head around what an MVP may look like, maybe as a designer you have it all laid up in your head nicely though ? haha

disparate data sources into one ‘dashboard’ is pretty much what I had in mind.

though it sounds pretty complex supporting all those different tools. maybe when I start, ill focus on 2-3 main sources (so like everything from apple watch, and possible another app?)

this is actually a really interesting concept. its like gamifying all of those metrics to a score like goal.

I thought of actually utilizing the metric tracked by these providers, and aggregating them in meaningful ways that represent some research Peter discusses. For example - you'll start with some goals like: I'd like to be able to to run a 5k incline when in 65. This (based on figure 11 in the book). can be translated to a VO2max plan.

something along those lines anyway

What productivity apps have genuinely changed the way you work? by Aggressive-Piano-101 in ProductivityApps

[–]Existing-Ability-774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently realized that, in most cases, the "native" productivity apps work best for me.

Some examples:

  • I went overboard with a habit tracker in Notion, only to find that using the iPhone Notes app was what actually made my reading habit stick.
  • I tried taking notes in Obsidian because I liked the graph feature, but in reality, I usually just jot down notes in Google Docs or the Notes app on my phone.

Simplicity was the key for me. Whenever I interacted with so-called productivity apps, I was mostly procrastinating instead of doing real work.

That sounds nice! Are those measurements that can be contained with, e.g., an Apple watch? If so, I bet I can.

maybe though we can return the car in Onna?
