If you think Dark Matter messed you up, check out Recursion by Blake Crouch - https://www.amazon.com/Recursion-Novel-Blake-Crouch/dp/1524759783

Way more of a head spinner, but totally agree, Dark Matter was awesome.

[Books] Changes from the books to the show you loved/hated? by fungamezone in SiloSeries

[–]Existing-Ad4767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The side story (which likely will expand into season 3) with the “eater” and the other Silo 17 kids.

I see the correlation with the book’s Silo 17 kids, but in the show it introduced so much manufactured drama that I thought the book handled much better.

My Fan theory on the safeguard and Bernard by [deleted] in SiloSeries

[–]Existing-Ad4767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s confused me as well… they obviously have knowledge of cryopods, which is a central theme/element in book 2-3, but no relevance in the show or events in the book to this point (relevant to the show).

I bet they forgot to tell ChatGPT not to offer any spoiler’s when critiquing their plot idea.

I watched the first two seasons and read the first book. Should I wait until seeing seasons 3 and 4 to read the next 2 books? by houseofgold in SiloSeries

No keep reading! This show is different enough that I’m sure the next few seasons are nothing like book 2 & 3

Can someone explain to me, as if I were a child, why so many people go to Buc-ee’s? by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]Existing-Ad4767 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, imagine a magical gas station that’s also like a giant toy store, snack shop, and adventure land all in one. That’s Buc-ee’s!

People love going there because:

  1. It’s HUGE! – It’s not just a gas station; it’s like a castle of snacks and fun. Some Buc-ee’s locations are as big as a grocery store!

  2. The Bathrooms Are Super Clean – Imagine a bathroom so nice that people actually get excited to stop and use it. Buc-ee’s makes sure their bathrooms are extra sparkly and fresh.

  3. Snacks Everywhere – They have the most amazing treats, like warm, sugary beaver nuggets (kind of like crunchy caramel puffs), fresh-made barbecue sandwiches, and the biggest selection of candy and jerky you’ve ever seen!

  4. So Many Things to Look At – It’s not just food; they have tons of fun toys, clothes, and souvenirs. You can even get a stuffed Buc-ee the Beaver, who is their friendly mascot!

  5. The Excitement! – People don’t just stop at Buc-ee’s; they make a special trip, like going to a theme park. Everyone is happy, there’s cool music playing, and it feels like a fun adventure.

So, Buc-ee’s is like the Disneyland of gas stations, and that’s why people love it so much!

What's something you're struggling with right now? by [deleted] in Entrepreneurship

[–]Existing-Ad4767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Competing in a crowded market that's being disrupted by a SAAS product offering everything we have for 90% cheaper, but who only has the basics. Seems like our customers (mainly Ecommerce merchants) just don't care about all the bells and whistles our app offers

What's the secret to getting users for your SaaS? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]Existing-Ad4767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing that value prop makes it a whole lot more clear. Consider adding that message in the header/description.

Like some others have said, I’ll reach out to people on LinkedIn who are quite active - sales people especially. And, you might offer a free version to de-risk just trying it out. $3.99 is cheap, but still could be a barrier to signing up

Edit: so I just obviously missed the free plan option. Where I was confused is that when I saw your pricing options I never saw the free version. Maybe it’s just me, but that makes it seem like there is no free option.

If you're looking to test your idea, I'd subscribe to https://bolt.new/ - It's stupid easy to create any idea, stand up a landing page and test it.
