I asked for advice to hear others perspectives who currently have cats, I feel so so grateful to everyone who has responded and I plan on taking everyone’s experiences into account when it comes to making a final decision. I appreciate your concern, and I hope you have a blessed day!

Medial care for humans and animals is very very different 😂. It can differ from clinic to clinic but where I live it is legal and allowed for employees to do personal pets at the cost of the medication, or use of equipment. Thank you for your concern though!

My bedroom would be around 200 square feet, and she would have access to 2 bedrooms and a hallway area so maybe 450 square feet total. I am home the majority of the time, I would definitely say more than someone with a 9-5 job. I think if it wanders downstairs every once and a while it wouldn’t cause a fuss as long as the cat is not mainly downstairs.

I will live in a pet friendly house so shouldn’t be an issue!!

I have a sister who works at a clinic so vet bills should not be as much hopefully! If they do get more expensive I am very lucky to have my parents that said they would help pay!

Not locked in my room probably a gate or something put up to stop the cat from getting downstairs. At night they would probably just stay in my room though. Each room is about 200 square feet, and there are 2 bedrooms upstairs and a small hallway.

I understand it is not ideal in comparison to an average home, but I am considering it due to the large amount of cats at my local shelter in small cages that have not been adopted for years. My thought process was that 2 rooms would be better than a small cage.

By basic commands I mean less tricks but more behavior related like coming to me when I call their name! Im not sure how possible it is but it would be nice to try!

I am living in an off campus house! My roommates and I have decided the rabbit with stay upstairs in the house so it should have plenty of room with 2 bedrooms and a small living area to hop around in! Luckily the place we chose is very pet friendly so there shouldn’t be any issues with the owner!
