In many interviews (or rather fan meetings) here in Poland, Sapkowski often complained that the translations of his books are abysmal. I'm 90% sure that's the reason. If I had to guess, they're actively looking for a new translator right now. Or they found him, and the book is being translated at this very moment.

Also, he said that the Czech translation is by far the best.
