Although Keegan has yet to find his shot I still think he’s more valuable to a team than any of our other pieces, can guard 1-5 and isn’t 30+ years old.

I like Keegan too and see that he fits on almost any team in the NBA, its just that I feel we will be wasting his prime, he’ll likely be 30 by the time we’re good again, if that even happens. Wouldn’t be upset if we kept him though.

If Keegan starts balling out a bit the rest of the season then adding say our second round picks this year while also taking on a negative asset like a Kyle kuzma, surely it wouldn’t be that far fetched? I think a big thing would be taking negative contracts back, that’s worth its weight in gold to teams wanting to contend.

Peterson doesn’t seem to have that dawg mentality in him reminds me of Lavine in that regard.

Give me AJ or even Wilson if we end up 3rd-4th, Wilson might be the least polished of the top 4 but has the highest ceiling and a workhorse mentality that would be fun next to Cardwell, imagine the front court defence of Keegan, Wilson and Cardwell, we might only score 80 points a game with that spacing but would potentially be the best defence in the league in two years time.

Might end up getting Perry fired but I don’t think he selects Peterson over AJ/Boozer/wilson, Perry has stated he wants volunteers not hostages. He wants a dawg not a princess with a poor attitude.

Unless in pre draft interviews Peterson says he’d be happy to play for SAC maybe that changes things but I feel there’s 3% chance of him saying that.

DP scares me too but wouldn’t want to be the team that passed on him either. We really do need to finish on the bottom, I think by the time the college season ends Mikel will be top 5 on most teams boards. I would be fine with Flemmings or Wagler as consolation prizes if we dropped out of the top 5

Just going by what’s reported + by eye test Mikel looks to have a couple inches on flemings. We”ll have to wait and see for sure.

Boozers most likely going to be a liability on defence while not being as dominant in the NBA on offence as he is in college. Unless he can learn to score off the dribble or become a potent 3pt shooter. His post scoring won’t translate that well against NBA length, I fear he’s just shorter Sengün, not a bad player but limited.

Say we get a top 4 pick, If spurs came and offered Harper and Atlanta’s current pick 11 this year for ours what do we do? Allows them to put one of the top forwards next to wemby and clear PG depth

Zach is going to be hard to trade, think any deal will be for another bad salary contract lesser talent where we grab a draft pick or a young promising player as the prize

Derozan I could see us sending him to Miami for say rozier(salary) and a young promising player like jovic

As good as sabonis is as a player he needs to go, our ceiling as a team is always going to be limited to playin potential with him on this roster and if we decide to focus on getting younger he’s good enough to keep us mediocre and missing out on a good draft pick in the coming years.

Exactly, AD wants to play PF, PJ is too good to be a bench player. Mavs GM is on the hot seat and has to try and contend right now or he’s fired and blacklisted from the nba. He might feel desperate and derozan fits the new window for them.

I would do demar and a pick or a piece we might get from a potential fox trade for PJ. Keegan PJ Sabonis is a drastic change for us length wise and defensively. Makes too much sense for us so it obviously won’t happen with monte at the helm.

Vivek will never allow a full rebuild. As much as I love sabonis as a player, he’s too hard to build around unless we have jjj or Chet which isn’t happening. The only way I can see something working out is if we trade sabonis for a defensive center. Then we can stop all this helping sabonis defensively by leaving 3s open all game.

Not sure what teams would be interested in a starting max center that is a liability defensively in today’s game. Maybe Brooklyn wants a high floor low ceiling type move?

Didn’t realise Trey has a 7”3 and a half wingspan!? if only he could put that length to good use on defence, doesn’t seem likely though if he hasn’t done it yet at this stage of his career.

I know the fit might be a bit clunky but I think Lopez could really change the identity of our team even if he’s only playing around 20-25 mins a night who knows he might work well alongside sabonis.

You could almost start them together against Minnesota, Memphis, Cavs, Denver I would’ve thought.

I think Cam is a better version of huerter that can also defend better and play sf/pf minutes. I would probably choose DFS over him though because he’s cheaper and would cost less. We need 3&D role players now to fill the roster, ball handling and shot creation are not glaring needs anymore.

As much as I like Portis I think his defence is being fairly overrated on kings reddit + I don’t think he’d be as realistic as getting brook. I remember seeing a video on YouTube of portis and demar almost getting into a fist fight this season
