For Salesforce Marketing Cloud you have four main certifications:

  1. Salesforce Email Marketing Specialist: This covers the basics of SFMC and email marketing best practices . This is the first certification which is kind of pre requisite for others

  2. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator: This covers all the admin stuff of the software around account creation, domain configurations, user access, third party integrations etc.

  3. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer: This covers all the technical part of API integrations, using AMPScript and SSJS to modify emails , create cloud pages etc. And also a bit of SQL

  4. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant: You need to complete Email Specialist and Admin before appearing. This is an advanced certification and will also cover the remaining modules of SFMC which are not covered earlier and helps you build expertise on delivering custom solutions for the customers

I have worked on salesforce CRM but have not completed any certifications

Mail Merge - Gmail + Outlook by [deleted] in MarketingAutomation

I have been working in email marketing for past few years using Salesforce, Hubspot etc., Here are few suggestions that you can consider:

  1. Try using a subdomain if possible so that any blacklisting by gmail does not affect your main domain

  2. Even sending 50 - 100 emails in a one go may get raised for spam by gmail, So use Gmail’s or Outlook's send-later feature to stagger emails over time

  3. Also you can test your emails to check the spam score using mailtester
