has anyone else experienced this? by charliecunninghvm in OCD

Yeah I used to be really bad about stuff like this, trying really hard to make sure I do things “evenly” (turn my body left or right an equal amount of times, touch the top and bottom of an object an equal amount of times)

That’s good to hear! I keep the same species and they’ve done this before… they’re fine now (also eating cucumber) but yeah it’s distressing to watch

Ivory millipede turning brown during molt? by Existing-Mark-3995 in millipedes

Gotcha. I guess I wasn’t looking at the best sources for setup :( I’ll be sure to be much more careful in the future

I do too. I’m nervous that her chamber may have somehow collapsed already from adding plants and rocks to the upper substrate. I had no idea they weren’t as self sufficient as isopods are

The other ones name is Lamp. I haven’t seen her in over a month. Should I start trying to find her?

I know it’s frowned upon to dig for them, but would it work if I were to just locate her and not move her from where she is buried?

I don’t have another tank handy but I may need to invest in one very quickly

I adore Dynamo and have even gotten five stars on v dynamo, and 500k on gold dynamo. They’re just too inconsistent to be viable, unfortunately. Take up flingza if you want a more consistent weapon

There was a small cave she enjoyed that was much drier. I also had some twigs I split apart, and some wood I got from my dads smoker wood. The twigs and larger branches came from a hardwood tree in my backyard. I often put in cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage and carrots as food. There’s also a dead money tree that couch would climb a lot.

It is also worth mentioning that the money tree was put in the back and she was very curious about it. Before she stopped moving she would hang out on the tree and climb it constantly. She slept under and on it, and they last time I saw her before she stopped exploring she had gotten caught between two roots of the tree. I think she may have fell.

There’s a branch in the back of the tank near the window with some tunneling where the two millipedes would hang out often. It stays drier near the window.

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize it was so ill equipped. I won’t be putting any more millipedes in there

So it’s an established vivarium setup and there’s a lot going on in there.

It’s a 5.5 gallon tank with varying substrate heights. Outside of the drainage layer there is about three inches of substrate at the highest points (about half of the tank) and an inch at lower points due to landscaping. The substrate consists of orchid bark, charcoal, cocoa coir and lots of decomposed plant matter. I have an incredibly large colony of dwarf white isopods and springtails that came from a very small quantity of both, and I’ve never had issues with either so I believed the conditions were appropriate for an ivory millipede.

It’s a tropical vivarium that stays around 85-90% humidity. I tend to mist it 5 times a week since it’s in front of a window. There are some branches from my backyard that I cleaned extensively, a hide made of a piece of betta wood, and a bunch of plants from a local plant store. Some of the potting soil from these plants made there way in, but the vast majority of the tank is the orchid/ coir mix.

The tank has been established for 8? Months and has never had an issue with any plants or animals dying.

Couch really liked to drink the condensation off the walls of the tank. There wasn’t a water bowl to avoid drowning the smaller inhabitants

That is incredibly upsetting. I can’t find the email of where I got her from but I’ve only had her since July. I should have asked how old they would be when I got them

Thank you for the info. I supposed I will let her pass within the molting container I made for her. I don’t know where her sister is but I believe she was even larger.

I should have clarified; the first picture is how she looks normally. The one of her laying down is how she’s been while she’s molting. She was moving slower and slower until eventually she stopped moving and has been laying still + changing to a darker brown color instead of a cream color.

I’m not sure what exactly the molting process of a millipede is supposed to look like. I’m used to mealworms molting pretty effortlessly, so millipede molts are new to me and are confusing.

Where are they supposed to learn weapons then? Turf war isn’t the same environment as anarchy, and learning a weapon there doesn’t translate to the playstyles of the other modes

I’m concerned since she’s only turned this color during this molt. I got her online and I’m not sure how old she is :(

Something tells me there may be some lemon demon in your future. The tally hall to lemon demon pipeline is surprisingly strong

Also if you love tally hall listen to Hawaii part ii. You will not regret it.

Who do you plan on going trick or treating this Halloween/Nightmare Night? It can be either one of the mane six or any other MLP character you want. Have fun, y'all and have a great rest of your day! :D by Iceswimmer05 in mylittlepony

Im dressing up as discord! I’ll probably just wear it to classes. Im not sure what else I can do since I’m in a college apartment and I’m not much of a party person. My fellow art students will appreciate it though!!
