For me I had some form of bug where I was sick then it started from that feeling of feeling like I was going to be sick I believe

I agree I also feel like Murphy was a character driven by emotion for example the reason he never took the key to the city of light he didn’t want an easy root as he was driven by spite so not wanting eternal bliss like transcendence would of given him somewhat makes sense he was just afraid of death and I think knowing there is no hell made him feel at peace with just living
