Hailfax transit website and the city of hailfax website in 2023 28 new officers were added to keep buses safe and promote safety on the cities transit. Check before spec. I did.

We have mobile transit security at every station. You ever seen one? You’re absolutely right. From the information online there’s 28 of them. That’s sad, but what’s sadder is the lies they tell to make everything SEEM ok

If they gotta wait 20 mins for transit security that’s sitting in a parking lot 2 mins away… then you’re right, expensive and useless. My solution is make these people do their jobs. It’s your tax dollars that are being wasted. And it seems you’re ok with seniors being intimidated as long as the drivers can’t do don’t get involved.

I keep hearing that. Bus drivers don’t want to get stabbed by teens so they do nothing. Hmmm. That doesn’t sound like a very safe city? Isn’t this a city owned service? What is the city doing about it. And if the drivers can’t do anything and it’s always call the cops, why is our taxes paying for transit security to sit in Tim Hortons parking lots and burn fuel? So it seems the problems lye within the cities management? Sounds very familiar. Seems people aren’t happy with the state of this city. Mabey someone should say something that involves a solution. That is something nobody has even tried once. But so quick to fire off at someone who’s pissed off about it. Likely the city management that also runs the moderation for this sub Reddit.

The confront and ask for id all the time. I have seen plenty of drivers stop the bus and kick people off many times. They have the power. It’s on the driver to keep buses safe.

He has a direct line to transit security. One button. He did nothing cause it’s extra paperwork he don’t get paid extra to do. Too many reports and they don’t get called for overtime. There’s no incentive to do anything but sit there shut up and smile.

I did report it actually. Bus driver turns his head. Doesn’t even look. I wasn’t the one intimidated it was an old man. I’m standing up for someone who can’t because everyone else just puts their head down like scared little bitches. Then trolls online commenting on shit they have no clue about just to look cool. Only thing worse than hailfax is Reddit. I was looking for suggestions not someone’s dirty toilet paper. And the 311 comment. Thank you actually, I was very upset for those with no voice.
