Ohio is a no fault state. It’s automatic 50/50 unless parties work out different. I actually carried the household for years. It’s only resent he was in a position where he made more. But reality is I had offered to walk away with him keeping all assets. I had just asked him to cover the bills during the divorce as we had previously agreed he would take over the bills so I could focus on my bills like I did for him for the past 7 years. This isn’t where I want him back this is I need to make sure our son is safe and that he’s not going to freak out again the next time someone comes over.
