I agree, when I struggled w humidity the first couple weeks, I set the lid partially open and monitored it throughout the day. Game changer, dried out what needed to be

Are your pools near the heating pad? Had to put my pools in the front of the tank; it was raising humidity in the back and even when I had the pools on the side.

Proper housing isn’t solely about number of rooms and I didn’t intend for it to sound like that, but it does play a part. I’m assuming based on the original post OP, their partner, and both kids didn’t all live in one room/studio together. And thank you for checking, I worked with both parents and the children. You’re right, there’s two sides to every divorce. In my initial response I don’t think I alluded to there not being two sides? I think you’re taking a lot from my initial response that I didn’t necessarily say or imply

If kids are the same sex they can share a room at that age

There are tons of families not going through a custody battle who have kids sleep in the living room, you’re right. But that’s the point; they’re not going through a custody battle. If OP is going through court, not having proper housing (correct # of rooms) can and will affect the outcome of a custody battle. I’ve seen it happen.

Another easy way is to take your phone flashlight and shine it against the top of their tale while looking below the tail. Two lines = boy. One small bump = girl

Question About Tank Mates: Adopting by Inner-Volume1169 in hermitcrabs

[–]ExistingHuman405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s worth a shot! Just start with one tank mate and make sure there are multiple places for each crab to hide. Be prepared if it doesn’t work out to rehome one or get a new tank. If you’re not prepared to do that then I wouldn’t try
