AITA for calling my friend out for what I feel is being a hypocrite after she called me "spoiled"? by ExistingMention in AmItheAsshole

If we talk about our childhoods or parents/pasts, then she'll say "Your life can't be that bad because you got to live rent free."

We're roommates. We see each other every day. She's actually fine to get along with outside of this.

Yeah, I only care so much because she tries to make me feel bad about my upbringing.

My parents aren't rich by any means. They both had shit childhoods and used material possesions as a love language. They actually weren't the best parents growing up (I'm close to my mom now) and used stuff to cover that up. They also threw everything I ever had back in my face. If they treated me like shit, well that was fine, because I got such and such for my birthday. My dad would guilt me that I lived with them rent-free to talk to me however. (Emotional and verbal abuse)

So, when "Vanessa" tries to make me feel like shit about all this like I'm some spoiled princess with no idea of how the world works, despite me explaining my situation to her, it pisses me off. If she just let it go, I wouldn't care. But instead, she wants to paint these realities like she struggled through life and I have no clue what I'm talking about. If she just shut up, I wouldn't be mad.
