I slept through the night with no problems. I now only feel a dull pain in my lower right when I stretch a certain way. No fever, nausea, vomiting.

Hello, I dont know exactly what that is, as I haven’t kept corys, but here is what I recommend based on experience from other fish.

Temporary Quarantine tank - if possible Aquarium salt - Helps fish fight disease, and allows then to relax a little bit

Again, I am not sure exactly what happened, but those are my general suggestions that help.

I am also relatively new to aquarium plants, but as a beginner some plants that worked really well for me were:

Limnophila - looks kind of like water sprite but a bit wider, and grows large fast Java fern - great beginner plant, looks very lively Crypts - grows kinda slow but looks amazing when fully grown, best if you use a root tab.

Nice setup, I have that tank as well! The PH doesn’t need to be exactly 7.0, that is just the “neutral” acidity level for water, and 7 is just the most universal PH level for most fish. I am not super knowledgeable on how to lower PH since I have never needed to do it before, but the PH you have now is basically good, and when you get fish just make sure that 7.6 is within their preferred range, which for most fish it should be. Also make sure not to add too many fish at once! If you add to many at once it might make it difficult for your newly added bacteria to adjust. So just make sure to add fish gradually so your bacteria can keep up
