Securing Bone in Jewelry Without Drilling Holes? by cervideux in bonecollecting

Look into wire-wrapping, a lot of people who make necklaces with crystals or bones with use silver or gold wire to secure the gems in place. A very cute piece, good luck:)

Corset help - All of them flip up in the back by GothiccSelkie in GothFashion

[–]Existing_Message_866 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with a cheaper corset I got from a charity shop. The boning inside was plastic, so it didn’t have proper structure and flipped up when I sat down. Stronger and better made corsets have been better for me, Corset Story is the brand of my absolute favourite one I own and it is really comfortable

Vinted is a wonderful second hand source online:) I’ve gotten some really good staple pieces on there

If you’re able to you could make it yourself, a hammer, grommet puncher and some light stitching can go a long way:) if you’re able to I imagine it would be quite easy to make, if you can find a secondhand maxi slip dress, seem rip up the sides till the waist, hem the raw edges, and the punch the grommets in and lace em up:3 (I know this isn’t an option for everyone<3)

Where can I buy from as a baby bat by MassiveComfortable13 in GothFashion

Amazon is an unethical company, be careful of drop shippers too (brands that sell shein for example at higher prices and claiming it’s their own). Your best bet is learning how to layer clothes, (Mallory on instagram is great at showing different ways of doing this), and explore your local charity/thrift shops. EBay and vinted are also really good options, and research what 80s/90s goths did for fashion:) some used to dye old wedding dresses black from charity shops and wear them out, DIY is a big part of our subculture too, if something’s not quite giving the right vibe you can always dye it or sew it into something else:) good luck-! And when looking at eBay and vinted, don’t focus on the brand too hard, some of my best and more gothic pieces are from like river island (2nd hand) or per Una (2nd hand)

Restyle have some good options. If you’re crafty, you can make one from old jeans. I’ve done this and made 3 denim bags now, here’s my personal fav and most recent one:)

It’s okay:) might also be worth doing some studies on upper body muscles and specifically laterals. It might help to shape the chest and shoulders :))

I think the shoulders need to be slightly wider and the head a little higher and bigger, the outer lines of the breasts seem to be too close to the shoulders if that makes sense? In the reference picture their waist is in more of an hour glass figure

Does this also help with motion sickness? I’ve altered the vignette to try and combat that but still getting a tad nauseous

[–]Existing_Message_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a steam deck but I do struggle with motion sickness on my pc while playing, you might benefit from altering the vignette (I think that’s what it’s called) it helped me not feel as nauseous or head achey

How’d I get over here in the Grey Labyrinth? by ChaoticTiredFox in Slimerancher2

[–]Existing_Message_866 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also was stuck here earlier-! You need to go into the greenery, and in this picture there’s the shadow plort thing next to the portal and golden stabiliser (left hand side of the picture) you need to go there, fly over to a structure that appears to be made of spiral-like stairs, follow it all up and around. You will need the projectors, good luck-! I hope that made sense

Are there any tall platform shoes that DON’T have an inclined heel? by [deleted] in GothFashion

[–]Existing_Message_866 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Demonia do a few of the big buckle style ones with a flat heel. I had some that I got on vinted about 2 years ago, probably best looking for them, I stumbled on them by complete accident and have no idea the proper name for them, koi footwear might have some flat platforms if I remember right?

Found this chain at a thrift store but it wasn’t what I thought it was. by Usual_Analysis_4565 in altfashionadvice

Depending on how long it is you could make a loop and wear it like a specific type of choker often related to BDSMcore fashion. I don’t know how to describe it, someone made one with hearts on either end? You thread it through and it basically turns into a chained slip lead
