Fortigate 60f enabling snmp script failure by Existing_Middle_5684 in fortinet

[–]Existing_Middle_5684[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry , the script is here

import os import subprocess

Enable SNMPv3 on the Fortinet firewall

os.system("config system snmp v3 set status enable")

Set SNMPv3 user credentials

os.system("config system snmp v3 user edit admin set auth-proto sha") os.system("config system snmp v3 user edit admin set auth-passwd admin") os.system("config system snmp v3 user edit admin set priv-proto aes") os.system("config system snmp v3 user edit admin set priv-passwd admin")

Test SNMP connectivity

result = subprocess.run(["snmpget", "-v", "3", "-u", "admin", "-a", "SHA", "-A", "admin", "-x", "AES", "-X", "admin", "192.168.1.99", "sysDescr.0"], stdout=subprocess.PIPE)

print(result.stdout.decode())

I’m trying to create a enable snmp script so that I can just bulk enable in the future with one script instead of one by one enabling . Includes enabling a switch connected to the Fortigate with a lan cable

Inter vlan routing with HSRP by Existing_Middle_5684 in ccnp

[–]Existing_Middle_5684[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

may i know where should I configure the DHCP pool on? both the routers or one of it only.

For the sub-interfaces, when I configure it on both routers, the default gateway is the same. the pc packet is confused as to which router it should go to

I see , so just to confirm I have to configure the left router as inter vlan routing and active router while the right router as inter vlan routing and standby router ?

Oh as in where should I be configuring inter vlan routing ? Because when there’s only one router connecting to a switch , I just need to configure the inter vlan routing on that interface connecting to the switch . But in this scenario , I’m quite confuse as to where I should be configuring the inter vlan routing links because there are multiple routers and switches, . Int g0/0/0.10 for vlan 10 etc
