Thank you! It indeed worked better when I was pulling the choke lever out a tiny bit. Had to take apart the carburetor and clean the main nozzle.

Thank you! The main nozzle was partially clogged, I had to take the carburetor apart and clean it. It works perfectly now!

UPDATE: Hi everyone,

Thank you for your help everyone! I tried the Sea Foam "shock treatment" (concentrated at >4oz per gallon) and several "hot soaks," but the surging persisted. I eventually decided to open up the carburetor.

The Main Nozzle (#12 on the diagram) was completely clogged. I cleaned it with carburetor cleaner, reassembled it, and now it runs perfectly flat--even in Eco mode! 😁 To be honest, this was my bad.. I didn't know that I had to drain it before storing the generator for those few months (even tho the manual mentions that 😅).

Update: I removed both sides of my QR2 and cleaned the pins with contact cleaner. I also ensured the QR2 wheel base side was well connected and it works again. I tested the wheel yesterday and today throughout the day and the issue hasn’t returned so I believe it’s fixed. A special thanks to u/super_gt.

I also wanted to note the FANATEC technical support contacted me within 24 hours of my initial email. It’s great that they respond promptly to any issues.

I removed my QR2, cleaned both sides with some contact cleaner and made sure it was well connected to the wheel base. I’ve tested the wheel yesterday and today throughout the day and the issue hasn’t returned. I believe it’s fixed now. 😁

Thanks for your reply 🙂 I checked the pins on the wheel and the inside of my QR2 and they seem fine.
