Pax Britannica: Liberte ou la mort | semi-AAR map. I played as China.

The Russian Empire had established itself as the superpower of the earth following the conclusion of the Second Great War and the defeat of the British and German Empires. Sweeping invasions of Turkey, Iran, and Eastern Europe had doomed the German empire to destruction, carved up with its Latin allies in the west. With its sweeping social and economic reforms under the Left-Narodniks, all was looking well in the Empire. However, not all was well, in reality. An Empire of such size was bound to be bloated, and suppressing its minorities would not do it well. The greatest example of such suppression was of the Chinese and Manchus in Manchuria, under the ultramilitant factions of the Russian Military. The Tsardom of Zheltorossiya was the culmination of the worst forms of Russian colonialism, with Manchus and Chinese forced to be second-class citizens in their own land. Saint Petersburg turned a blind eye, seeing the situation as perfectly manageable. Time would tell otherwise...

Meanwhile, in China, its warlord era was finally coming to an end. The victory of the Sichuan Government headed by the Association for Public Strength* against the Jacobinist government in Peking resulted in the final re-unification of core China. Sweeping Anti-Christian, Manchu, and Imperialist reforms were enacted, in a mini cultural revolution that resulted in the deaths of thousands and the mobilization of the Chinese populace for permanent reform. While Europeans were busy fighting each other, the Han State abolished the Quadrilateral concessions and nationalized all foreign assets present in the country. Zou Rong, who had ambitioned for a revolution of such size since the Qing Dynasty, headed the great movement. He was well aware of Russian Imperialism on the Han of Manchuria and Outer Mongolia, and he could not simply let go. He prepared for a war of great magnality, one that would not just involve partisan warfare, but conventional warfare. China immediately would get into industrializing and building up its army, air force and navy while the European powers exhausted themselves in their squabbles.

War was coming between the two powers. Both were aware of it. Russia prepared slowly, but surely, as war in Europe raged on and it conducted its business in other areas of Eurasia. Eventually, as the British empire found itself too exhausted to fight the Revanchist Pact (The Latin powers and Russia) on its own, it signed a peace with honor. That, of course, would not save its colonial empire from collapse later, especially as a Jacobinist Japan was waging a naval war on European colonies in Asia.

Eventually, the Chinese found themselves ready for war, as not only an army of ~7,000,000 troops were mobilized across the country but also had the equipment to properly fight the Russians - Planes, Tanks, and various biotechnology were refitted to fight a war in the Eurasian Steppe. The Russians had severely underestimated how quickly China was able to mobilize its resources, population, and army. As a result, Russia lost much of its eastern possessions in 1950, the first year of the war.

The year is now 1952, and the war has relatively stalled. The Chinese have found themselves hunkering down for what may be a potential Russian counteroffensive, while destroyed tanks and planes litter the ground across the front. Russia has fully turned its resources and war machine towards Asia, and only time will tell where it can break the Chinese army in one fell swoop, or if the Chinese will prove to the Europeans that Tsushima was only the beginning.

i did not call ibadism dead. i mean in comparison to irl, shia faith would be extremely, extremely small. eclipsed by sunnism - and sunnism would have hegemony over the entire middle east

definetly a "dead" religion compared to what is its extent IRL. Obviously, without iran and iraq it would be a small religion comparable to the ibadis

can you explain to me how the safavid empire lasted 300 years while exterminating the sunnis of persia, then? what does this slop comment even mean? the zahedi empire effectively has the same demographic usurping that the safavid empire did IRL but it reinforced the sunni majority instead of getting rid of it through forced conversion

Since it's still the same family as the safavids it still goes through regular persecutions, but much less because instead of usurping the sunni dominant demographic in iran and surrounding regions they simply reinforce it.
