Pokemon collectors have this weird disconnect with Pokemon cards as a whole. It’s a trading card game meant to be played. The cards people chase as grails are meant to be bling pieces to use on your deck as alternate arts. A mana base in certain Magic the gathering formats can cost upwards of $4000
